Hi ?,

I agree that mailing lists are easier but also more private. If we want mor=
e
people using crossroads, which I think is a good thing for security,
stability and development reasons, than making it easier for a casual
visitor to ask a question, browse the threads and give their opinion is
important.

An other difference is that being part of a mailing list is most of the tim=
e
equal to collecting spam. For example, using the current mailing list you
e-mail address is in plain text in the archive. Also by using the to (in
this case) or cc to list all users your address will be on everybody=B9s
computer. There are thousands of trojans searching for those.

At the bottom line there isn=B9t so much difference in using a forum. You can
still receive new posts in your e-mail but instead of clicking on reply you
click on the link.
